Welcome to the Geneva Lake (WI) Branch of AAUW!

The Geneva Lake branch of the American Association of University Women, AAUW, was organized in 1951 as the Lakeland Branch.  We currently have about 100 members.  The branch meets every month on the second Thursday of the month from April through December.  Meetings generally consist of a brief business meeting and an informational, educational, entertaining program. Guests are welcome at most events.

An annual state-wide convention is held each spring. The 2024 meeting will be on April 26-27 in Mt. Pleasant. Several notable speakers will be with us to share insights and information. Click here for details on speakers and registration.

Local members join at least one committee to keep the branch a thriving affiliate of the state and national organization. Visit the AAUW national website and/or the Wisconsin state website, to learn more about the organization.

We have several interests groups that meet year round.  Members participate in a book group, Lunch Bunch, hiking/biking/cross-country skiing, Culinary Questers cooking group, Great Decisions discussions, and Bridge.

Fundraising events have included a Soup & Signing event, themed fashion shows, local house walk and tea, silent auctions, and a speaker’s series. Funds are raised to support scholarships and other branch activities. For a link to a video from our 2023 fundraiser, click here.

A new scholarship for a female college student to attend a 2 1/2 day leadership conference, National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL), was given in 2020.
