Thank you for your interest in joining the Geneva Lake Branch of AAUW. The American
Association of University Women advances gender equity for women and girls through
advocacy, education, and research. AAUW is the nation’s leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls. We are non-partisan, fact based, and value integrity and inclusion. Since our founding in 1881, AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day – educational, social, economic, and political. We can only accept checks at this time, made payable to Geneva Lake Branch AAUW. Annual dues are collected from April through June 1st. When we receive your application and dues, your name will be added to our email list and you will receive the monthly newsletter, Branch Briefs. We hold monthly branch meetings and programs at varying locations and there are several interest groups you can join that usually meet on a monthly basis. The interest groups provide a fun way to get to know other branch members. All of that information is contained in the Branch Briefs. We also ask that each member sign up to participate in one or more of our committees. Our branch functions best when there is active participation of the members. There are many different ways to contribute, so everyone can find something that fits their interests or skills. We are a diverse group of women in age, interests and background.
